7:00pm: ADHD and Anxiety: A Chicken and the Egg Dilemma?
with Alan J. Zametkin, MD
Dr. Zametkin will discuss the similarities and differences between Anxiety and ADHD in children adolescents and Adults. The two disorders share many similarities and differences and can easily be confused. They may be found in the same individuals and the treatment of individuals with both disorders differs from those who have only one. The possibility that one conditions leads to the other will be discussed. A common medical condition that any lay person can diagnose always needs to be considered when anxiety AND ADHD coexist. The role of psychometric testing will be discussed and usefulness in diagnoses of these conditions.
